Contemporary Dance Practice
Carinas Contemporary Dance Practice combines floor work and movement in standing. Principles like the awareness and the use of different leading points such as head, tail, extremities etc., those of release-technique and “momentum” will be imparted and practiced. A structured set-up leads through exercises, which show characteristics of body awareness methods like yoga and girocinesis, classical, modern and urban dance techniques. The body gets mobilized up into the tiniest muscles, fascias and joint attachments, gets strengthened and educated for an energetically economical and anatomically supportive way of dancing. In determined awareness also the flow of breath gets trained and the awareness of the body with its permeability gets increased.
Depending on the institution and context of teaching she (in addition) also leads through improvisation and body researches, which are for example based on text, images, circumstances, paradox and physical (Non)condition.
